First Week: Ideas and Sketches

My concepts:

Concept 1: Without music, there is no life. When there is music, everything starts coming into life
- I will use musical notes to represent music, this notes will go around a musical instrument such as the guitar, piano, and others and charge them up, giving them life. It will give life to musical instruments but is one of them in each type of musical instrument. Finally it comes to an end by having an explosion as an impact and the word MTV appears, follow by the slogan “Music gives life”.

Concept 2: Music is our daily lifestyle.
- I will basically start off with a person waking up, then cuts into a scene whereby the person is having his breakfast but his briefcase looks like a TV with the MTV Channel in it. He brings the briefcase to work. He then watch MTV in his computer while working. After his work, he will have the same briefcase on his other seat while driving to home. He will then walk his dog but actaully his dog is the MTV and then finally ends by fading this scene into another scene with the MTV follow by the slogan “Music, our daily lifestyle”.

Concept 3: No matter what, i want my MTV.
- This guy is given an obstacle, if he overcome it, he can watch MTV, if not, too bad. The animation starts off with a person climbing up a very long and thick tree vine. He will then have the first part of obstacle and that is the wind blowing, he passes it and another part which is the snow. He passes again and go on the hardest obstacle which is the storm. He managed to survive and he reach the top of the tree vine. Up here is the TV with MTV Channel on. The person stands beside the TV and finally show the MTV and the slogan “I want my MTV”.Tree vine is used for design purpose, the colour.

Concept 4: Welcome to MTV City
- Scene will start off with a car driving along a narrow path, animated musical instruments are sighted along the way, the scene then cuts into a long shot showing the car entering a city. The car stops in the city on the road, traffic light is red. Then camera will tilt upwards and show a neon banner with the sentence “Welcome to MTV City”.

Concept 5: MTV’s Unstoppable
- Scene start with a close-up of a person face. The person will look like a high-class gangster with AK-47 in his arms, he looks at something. He starts shooting at a MTV block and bullets start flying off the surface of the block. The camera then zooms into the MTV block and the slogan “Unstoppable” appears.

Concept 6: The Only One
- Scene will first show a lot of channels in blocks such as Channel U, Channel 8, 5,etc. MTV will be isolated in the centre and suddenly a sound of siren will be heard, idicating that nuclear bomb is coming. The scene that cuts into a nuclear bomb going downwards trying to hit something. Then come back into the same scene where all the channels start running away, only MTV not moving at all. The nuclear bomb then hit the ground and a huge explosion occurs. Only MTV survives the blow and camera will zoom into MTV and show the slogan “The Only One”.
